[nagdu] Owner-trainer preferred breeds WAS Re: Hi there

Laurel,

Glad you survived your semester and are back with us again. /smile/

I'm hooked on poodle and considering going back to the same breeder for 
my next prospect. However, around grooming time, when my pocketbook is 
very, very sad, I start thinking dobie! So I have some feelers out about 
likely breeders and so forth for that breed. Dobies seem to be a lot 
like poodles, without quite so much levitation and hair growth. /lol/ 
Also, I sometimes wonder what it might be like to go around with a dog 
that has a bit more of a reputation to go with its "back off look." Poor 
Mitzi has had to revise her schtick to keep people from mugging her all 
the time. She's very gracious to her adoring fans, but sometimes I think 
it's much for her. We have learned to keep the worst away, but... It 
might be nice to go around with a gorgeous dog that is also a tad more 
intimidating?

I've always wanted a shepherd guide, but am hooked on the nonshedding, 
etc., from poodle. So my second preferred breed would be dobie for the 
short, less shed prone coat. I'm lazy! /grin/
