Hi,

In general, the critters will work out their pecking order.

However, i've really had no real problems. Except that Fiona, the cairn terrier, who thinks she's 10 feet tall, jumps out at, growls at, and chases all the animals, not just Leno. She thinks she's the ruler of all she surveys.

But I've had at least one critter with all my guides. When I got Karl, I had Zoe, one cat. No problems, they got on OK. One cat turned into as many as four plus a wife. When Karl retired and I got Chet, it was Karl, Chet, plus two cats, soon after, three, and soon after that, plus one child. Everyone worked out what they'd tolerate and from whom, This usually meant that the dogs eventually ignored one cat, one cat was friendly with the dogs, the other could take or leave. Interestingly, when Phoebe, the third cat, adopted us, she befriended the dogs and to this day has no issue with the bigger dogs--it's the terrier that bothers her. Fiona, the terrier, we got after Alena finished a lotos, though not all of, her brain surgeries and the surgery after her infection. Long story, I'll tell you if you really want to know. Anyway. Once your dog's settled, he'll probably roll with all sorts of changes and be OK.
