I have 3 11-year-old housecats: spayed and declawed.
My golden retriever Seeing Eye dog, Cori, loves her cats.  They love her too. 
They sleep against her and when she is afraid of thunder, they put their 
heads against her and make little trill noises to try to calm her down.
If they cry, she comes running.
Nothing better happen to her cats.
So, yes, you can certainly have other pets when you have a guide dog.
