Hi every one,Mardi here. Rachel asked me if I would train a dog for her.We
began looking for the right dog through several rescues and they turned
Rachel down. They had excuses but it was a case of discrimination. At the
time,I was angry for the way they treated Rachel. I am now glad they turned
her down as I think we found a dog that is better than any thing they had
to offer. This dog is so calm and laid back. She is very sweet and she has
checked out healthy so far.As Rachel said, she was given all shots and
various tests and micro chipped. Who ever lost this dog lost a super nice
dog.She had no collar,no chip and was not claimed. She gets along with cats
and other dogs. She is also very people friendly. She had never had any leash
training, and freaked out,the first time a leash was put on her,but she
learned quickly. She now walks on a loose leash and is heeling and turning
right and left. I had Rachel work her the other day when she came to see
Lady.We are waiting on the discount spay certificate to get her spayed. She
is a wonderful dog and she and Rachel are perfect for each other.I don't
think we could have gotten a better dog.Once she is spayed,we will start
working her out in places like Petsmart to socialize her more. I think Lady
will be a good guide dog for Rachel. Mardi and Shaman and Neechee,GDIT.
