Hi Hannah,

I hope you gave Princess a good leash correction for running you into a
pole? It sounds like you might want to try using the halti or gentle leader
on her so that she stays more focus on you and on  her work. Just a
suggestion though. Hannah remember Princess and you are still in the bonding
stages and still learning each other and it will take some time before
Princess and you work flawlessly as a team. Also Princess will  test you to
see what she can get away with. Remember to praise her when she does what
you ask her to do. And when she's curious and not paying attention to you
and her work and she gets distracted  give her  a verable correctionand if
that doesn't work give her a leash correction to get her back on task and
focussed back on you and her work. She's young and you just need to keep on
top of her and not let her get away withstuff.

As Princess and you learn to work together as a team things will start
coming together more in her work to where she's not so curious and
distracted. But it will take time and lots of patients and hard work on both
of you's part.Also remember it usually takes about six months to a year and
sometimes longer before you and your dog become a seasoned team. But it will
happen. Take care.
