Lori and all,
I corrected her and redid the rout. I don't think I touched the pole and
said "no" which was something I realized last night. Thank you for the
suggestions.
All the best, Hannah

Hi Hannah,

I forgot to tell you something. My previous dog, also ran me into a pole in
a store once because he wasn't paying attention and he was distracted. Well
when he ran me into that pole, you better believe he got a good leash
correction for that one. Then I showed my dog the pole by tapping my hand
on it and saying something like do you see this. and said no, you take me
around this. So like I said I showed my dog the pole by tapping on it with
my hand then I turned around and went back several feet or so and made my
dog rework me around that pole. And my dog took me around that pole and once
he did this I praised my dog to the sky for taking me around the pole and
not running me into the pole. And my dog has never done this ever again.

So you need to have Princess rework you around that pole safely. So show
Princess the pole by tapping on the pole with your hand and say No, and then
turn back around and go the other direction for a few feet then turn back
around and tell Princess forward and she should guide you around that pole
safely. And then she does this praise her for it and make a big deal out of
it. And hopefully she'll get the picture and won't ever do this again. Take
care.

Lori and theGipper
