[nagdu] Dogs At Work

Hi Mark and everyone.

I work at my college's access office as a German tutor. Even when I'm
not tutoring, I'm there because I enjoy the environment and find I can
get homework done a lot faster there. I usually take Brie's harness
off in the office. She even has a certain amout of freedom. Of
course, she normally jut curls up and goes to sleep, so I don't know
if freedom is the word. I allow people to pet her when she is not in
harness, but it has never gotten out of hand, and Brie generally knows
who will pet and who will not. How do dogs know such things? But
most days people don't even bother her. She just curls up under the
table.

I also take her harness off in the practice rooms when i go and
practice if I'm going to be there for a long period of time(which is
most of the time), and again, she just curls up and goes to sleep.
(see a theme?) I am alone when I practice, and I 've never had anyone
approach me about that or about taking her harness off where I work.
As long as it doesn't create a distraction, and as long as your
comfortable with your dog's behavior when she's not in harness, it
shouldn't be a problem.
