Maybe he expects you to feed him. Lexia did not do this with regular dog 
food, but she did with milk bones and other treats. Try giving him one out 
of your hand and move your hand closer to the bowl each time. Finally, pick 
one up, hold it for a minute, and then drop it in the bowl.
