I can't imagine it ought to bother you if you correct her for taking food from someone she trusts. Really she should take it just from you seems to me, or for the most part. I would prefer someone I saw often because we would likely be good at communication. But I would go with an exercise where there is food placed on the floor, dog goes for it, you correct, and then try it again because this issue has to do with picking up food off the floor.
