[nagdu] has this happened to anyone else?

Sometimes they do. That's why they want us to make sure they get exercised. They often sleep when there isn't activity, and they do a lot of watching of things going on around them. I had one that used to track flies on windows. They don't really think quite the same as we do, or at least that's how it seems to me.
