>From a puppy raiser's perspective it is kidn of hard to imagine people
doing things like that. I raise puppies for TSE. And it is hard to not have
contact with the handlers, but not for the reasons you may think. It's hard
because we love to hear that they are loved. I get into this fully aware of
the fact that once they leave I will not see them again and will not hear
how they are. I can be okay with all that. It just is incredible to hear
that our dogs are loved, and happy. That's all I have ever wanted for my
puppies and to me it's the most important thing.

So to those of you who have had bad experience with puppy raiser contact I
am sorry. But please dont' let it stamp judgments on the rest of us. And to
everyone who has a guide dog who wen tthrough a puppy raising program,
please know how much your loving yoru dog really means to each of us. We
don't want tons of thanks or anything like that. Knowing our dogs are out
there, with new dog mom's and dad's and having the time of their lives,
that's what we care about. And, th emajority of us, know that going into
it. And are more then okay with it.

I don't mind that TSE doesn't allow me to know the handlers the puppies I
raise go to. I trust TSE to make a good selection of handlers and that they
would only match my dog with someone who is going to care about them at
least as much, if not more then I do. each pup has left their mark in my
heart, but it makes me happiest knowing they are off doing great things,
and enjoying their lives.

So, once these dogs become yours, love them to bits. As puppy raisers
that's all we really hope for.
