Hi, Mark,
Would you be able to get a longer tie down cable so he won't feel like he's cornered?
Petco and Petsmart and other pet places do have longer tie downs so the don'g won't feel like he/she is trapped.
The longer it is, the less your furry one will feel that he's safe and not locked up in some odd contraption.
