This is true. I will start leaving him there alone, starting with a short 
amount of time, and work up to several hours. I am not saying that I don't 
care about my stuff, just that at this point it is so damaged and used that 
it can't get far worse. So, by that logic, if he is going to break 
something, it might as well be something I picked up for free rather than 
something I had to pay for. I am hoping he will be well behaved and not 
damage the furniture but I don't know what he may or may not do.
