[nagdu] Jury duty

I say no dog. You want to enjoy the show and the action (not so much the horses but any special effects) may impact your dog negatively, unless your dog is used to going to the theater which is really what this sounds like.
I brought my dog to a few plays. The only one she had a problem with was one called Assassins about people who killed various presidents. It was a musical and amazingly well done. My dog didn't like the gunshots in the play and also got concerned when some of the action spilled into the audience. By the end of the play which dealt with Kennedy's assassination, my dog really wanted to leave. And there was no way I was leaving not then, not during that scene. The music, lyrics and stage action were compelling.
My dog did get the weekend off, as I felt she needed time to rest. Looking back, I'd not have brought her to that play.
I'd say if it was a horserace or other sporting event, your dog would be fine. And you can bring her if you have no other option. I just wouldn't do it for this event.

Hey, gang!

Good news! We have been given a gift of VIP tickets to Cavalia, for the
last night performance here. In the horse lovers' section! With free
parking, back stage passes to see the stars, all that good stuff!

Cavalia is a performance involving horses with multimedia and
acrobatics, trick riding and ballet with horses. The stars are the
horses. And so on. Okay, so these horses are trained in their part of
the performance for a year to 10 years, they are that good. One can olny
assume the human partners and performers are not slugs, either. /smile/

So... Sixth row, best place to see the horses, short notice. To guide
dog, or not to guide dog? That is my question.

I'm considering several key factors, still not firm on my decisions.
Hm... Who do I know that might have some thoughts on the subject... /grin/

So go for it! All feedback welcome!

And thank you!

Tami
