Rebecca, I agree with you. A guy wants to slide off quietly to do,
whatever, (hike the Applachian Trail!), and there's a manhunt!
Suppose I was suffering domestic abuse, and wanted to run away. All my
abuser would have to do is say I'm a poor blind woman, and everyone would
be out looking for me as if I were a lost five-year-old. Yikes!
I can see being concerned when a family member goes missing, but gee whiz!
