Mark,

Congratulations!  I was wondering how things were going for you.  Glad 
to hear all is going so well.

When Monty sees birds or squirrels, he will stalk them.  He still guides 
when he does this, but I can tell.  He stiffens up and his feet pick up 
more sort of like prancing.  He only does this when the small furries 
are close and don't run off.  I think he's still holding out hope of 
getting one.  *sigh*  Sorry to disappoint the big guy.    If it goes on 
for more than a few seconds, or he starts turning his body to follow the 
animal I'll verbally remind him to get back with the program.  Usually 
that works, but if it doesn't I just stop and have him sit for a bit.

Anyway I wouldn't worry about it.  I'm sure your trainer is aware and 
helping you sort through it.  It takes a while to get the kinks worked 
out and to get things running smoothly.
