My old dog Echo has accidents in the house.  Some we catch with the
relieving harness, and some not.  I'd heard ads for AKC Gold, so I bought
some.  I am happy with it.
I clean up the accident, dribble on the Gold liberally, wait 5-15 minutes
for the enzymes to do their stuff, and sop it up.  It removes any
stickiness and smell, and my sister says it removes the stain. It works on
carpet or hard surfaces.  It seems to do a better job than the carpet
cleaner we had been using, and it's more versatile.
