Hi Everyone,
Every other month a group of my friends and I who are blind, deaf and blind get together at different restaurants in our county to eat.
Last night was one of our get togethers. there were 15 of us. sometimes there are over 20 of us but some couldn't make it. We pick different places to eat and see how we are treated, the food , prices and how we are treated with our guide dogs. Last night we went to a Columbian restaurant. there were 3 guide dogs besides Anna. The service was good, food excellent and no problems with the dogs. The bus driver asked myself and another friend on the bus was there a party at this restaurant . I said no just one of our get together dinners. He said how many people are there. My friend said tonight there were only 15 of us. 6 paratransit buses were there.
Today we have our first real snow of the season. I went out to take Anna for her walk this morning and the ground is covered. When I got back I let her and my pet dog play in the back yard. Its still snowing but during the week its suppose to be in the 40's here on Long Island.
