[nagdu] Off Leash was Re: Mark's dogs

If he heals off leash, I would recommend practicing it both just as 
something to do and as an obedience exercise. I would even reward him for 
it. Just because the main training is over does not mean that treats have to 
go away all together. No, I don't use them all the time, but, every once in 
a while, especially when your dog is having a long day or has done something 
that is difficult, it is nice to give your dog a reward.
    As far as off leash healing, Lexia taught herself that. She thinks that 
it is a game. She will walk at my side. If I stop, she is supposed to stop. 
If she stops ahead of me, I put my left arm out and snap my fingers, and she 
moves back beside me. If I back up, she will turn around and follow me. 
After a little of this, I usually tell her "okay", and she takes off 
running.
