[nagdu] New to the list, and considering a guide dog from CA school-question

You have to pay your own transport to GDA as well as you do for GDD. Guide
Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael is the only California school that provides
transit for you. they also give a stipend for vet bills, give you Flea spot
on stuff. They are also in Boring, Oregon and provide the same for that
campus as well.

Guide Dogs of the Desert is real small and has had its troubles over the
years. I know someone who has one of their dogs and also works there - Linda
Simulski (forgot the spelling!) who used to live here in San Diego. Nice
lady!

Tami,
There is one other Southern California school. It is Guide Dogs Of
America. I don't know if they provide transportation funds.
