[nagdu] trip to San Diego!

Hi all,
So as the subject line says, I'll be taking a trip out to San Diego in
August. I'm going with Stockard of course, and my father is coming
along. It's just a vacation for fun. Southwest Airlines had a big fall
sale going on, so I was able to get two air tickets out there for
cheap.

For those of you who live in the San Diego area, or who have visited
there, I have a couple questions.
What are some good hotels to stay at for guide dog users? I know of
course all hotels have to accomodate us, but as many of you probably
know, there are more guide dog friendly places than others. Also, what
is the public transportation like there? Is it just in the downtown
area?
The other thing I wanna know, is what are some fun things to do out in
San Diego that are also enjoyable/not crazy hard for our guides to do
with us? For example, I won't go to the San Diego zoo because that
would be not too guide dog friendly/hard for Stockard.
