Mark, Slippery Elm is a Homeopathic remedy.Acidolpholus is a probiotic that
aids in digestion . The probiotic that are in your dog's food is probably a
low dose. You would have to use a more therapeutic dose for your dogs
problem.Acidopholus is only one probiotic. There are others . It is just
the one I have used and it works with my dogs.I started them on 2 capsules
and reduced it to 1 after the problem cleared. My Shepherd was under weight
when I first got him.He did not gain any weight even though he was getting
more enough food. I gave him Acidopholus and he started gaining weight
