Hi Hannah,
I had to take my first guide in to have her teeth worked on.  She was a 
little shaky from the anesthesia, but it wore off.  When I had to take Liam 
in to have a growth removed from his paw, he was fine when he woke up.  Each 
dog is different, and maybe just talk to your vet about concerns with the 
anesthesia.
