[nagdu] More than 100 rescued from Pennsicola beaches in past 3days

Breaking news! I swam with all my five dogs at various times. My black lab
took on the self-appointed water guide, probably thinking I was a large
fetch object. She always swam near me and I only had to do a dead man's
float to queue her that I wanted the shore. Miss Boots would then nudge me
in the required direction until I hit land. Damn, saved the life guards
from extra vigilance. Strictly speaking. all dogs are not allowed on
beaches and there is no law requiring anything beyond allowing services
animals as the exception. (Damn, that was clumsy.) I did stretch things
considerably by letting my dog loose but she was performing a function which
allowed me to enjoy many beach visits without others worrying about me
getting disoriented, something which happens to me the minute I get
horizontal in the water, especially with my head-ears under.

Doug: My rubber duckie never saved me!
