[nagdu] Making a good impression with dogshoul

Are sighted people judged based on how they travel?
I'm thinking this is an unfair standard.
So long as Debbie gets where she needs to be on time, why should she be judged on how this happens?

Debbie,

The "Good impression" should be how well you do your job including how you
travel. You travel how you feel is best and in the manner that works best
for you and your guide dog. There is a reason guide dogs are taught the
command "heal". You best know how and when to use that and other commands.

Your boss is harassing you as far as I am concerned when you are being
criticized by anyone who cannot possibly know how you should best use your
guide dog.

Whether someone should be taken to court or to a hearing over bothering you
is something you should decide. I would suggest you have an honest and
frank discussion with your boss, but do so with a witness.

Best,

Should it make a difference weather I choose to walk down a hall to go
outside with my dog holding her lease or holding her harness ,I am
partially sighted ,my boss is making a big deal about this she is afraid
what people might think that I am not using my dog right but I feel I am. I
have more but will save it for later. Debbie ps I work at a pre-school for
blind and partially sighted kids and we ate the first team to no on staff
think she needs to be educated on this and maybe me too. Thanks
