Thanks for confirming that you got hit with the pooper scooper fine while you were demonstrating.
I had long suspected that's how it went down but wasn't sure how to bring it up.

Oh heavens, guys, LOL!!!  Too funny!

Yeah, they'd bust me big time because I (gasp!) bring Landon to street
demonstrations of queers and commies! LOL!  We've been going to quite a few
lately with Occupy, budget cuts, and our DA seeing fit to waste our city's
money on trying to make an example of people who actually demand to get
married like everyone else does.  Well, they tried to recoup some of that
money from me when I got busted for violating the pooper scooper back in
2010 when I couldn't find a trash can at our County Admin Building.  We
were - you guessed it - demonstrating there that day against Prop 8 (ruled
unconstitutional by TWO appeals courts in CA) that took away people's rights
to marry the one they love.  Hmmmm.  For the newer folks on this list, that
was when San Diego's Finast decided it was easier to issue me a violation
ticket rather than just SHOW me where the trash can was to deposit Landon's
dump in.  I didn't have to pay the fine because the County has determined
that service dog users are exempt from the law.  I did have the poop neatly
packaged in a plastic bag and not just left on the grass like the pet owners
do.

Oh, didn't you guys know that you're not supposed to USE your guide dog in
indulging in a busy, productive life!  YIKES!  Love it, Tami, when you drip
with sarcasm as you do!
