Gdd trains smooth coated collies, they currently have one working 
smooth coated Collie.

I know I'm replying to you very late, as you wrote on September 
18th! I'm very behind on reading my emails!

I know you said you hadn't heard of a Collie being trained as a 
guide dog, but I know that over time, a few schools have a least 
tried placing Collies or Collie-mixes as guides.

My first guide dog was a Collie, actually.  But, she was a little 
different because I actually owner-trained her.  Her name was 
Jet.  I know no guide is perfect, but I think she was about as 
close as one could be to being perfect; or, maybe I'm just 
biased, grins.
