Hi, julie J,
A worm, heart felt message and I love it.
When Odie and I were involved in a bus accident four years ago, it scared him really bad.
It was up to me to help the two of us regain that confidence level which the follow day, we did it.
He bounced back from the incident and was rizilliant.
I did place a call into Pilot Dogs though to get a second opinion and the executive director told me that he was happy and proud of how I was able to quickly get my partner and I back on track.
One thing I have done if Odie gets too close to vehicles that may be moving is do a harness check and a quick, sharp Ah Ah with my voice.
When I am mad at him for something he did, I usually just tell him go lie down for a while.
After that, he comes back over to me, appologizing and asking for my forgiveness.
Even then, I still tell him he's a good boy.
As for the motorists, I do agree that we can only do the best we can to stay safe.
