[nagdu] Distracted by other dogs

Sarah,
The dogs never forget either it's puppy raiser and not forget you when you 
retire it to a pet home.  They have a scent memory of each person, place or 
animal it has met and can recall it when they smell the scent again, even 
after many years!  They could forget where they knew you but they know that 
they DID know you!
