[nagdu] dogs and peanuts was Re: Toy Suggestions

Dan,
I wondered about the peanut issue too. Someone gave me some shelled peanuts yesterday, and I thought about giving one to Pascal. But, then something in the back of my mind told me that dogs should not eat certain nuts. I know a lot of dog treats are peanut butter flavored, and that many people put peanut butter in Kongs, so maybe it's just the actual peanuts aren't good for them. I am interested in reading people's responses to this.
I have another question too... Isn't it really messy to put peanut butter into a Kong? Doesn't it stick inside the Kong and get all over the carpet?
Deanna and Pascal

I have a question concerning peanuts and dogs. I know a few of yall have mentioned putting either crushed peanuts, or just some kind of peanut product in a kongs but I've spent my whole life being told that if I give peanuts to dogs it'll most likely kill them. Am I the only one that has heard this?
thanks,
Dan
