[nagdu] dogs and peanuts was Re: Toy Suggestions

I've given my dogs a gob of peanut butter smeared on pills so he eats them.
I never heard of peanuts being bad for dogs.

I've given some grapes as well to no ill effect. The thing is these things
can be problems if the dog has an allergy to these things. And one never
knows if their dog is allergic or not til you try feeding a bit of
something. I wouldn't feed a large amount of these things to your dog. I
had a dog who LOVED seedless grapes - didn't know you weren't supposed to
give grapes or raisins then. I had a dog who ate all our Christmas
chocolate candy while we were away at church. She had nothing more than a
bellyache. This was just after wwe got the dog and didn't give a thought of
our Christmas stockings being on the floor. We never had a dog before and
the cats never bothered with stuff like that. You never heard about foods
and allergies in dogs back in the early 1960s.
