Julie, try Oxi-Clean for cleaning up your white harness.Try using it
several times if the harness is real dirty.I made a white leather harness
for Neechee. It is not heavy and cleans up very easily by just wiping it
off with dish soap and water, or just water.I am very happy with this
harness and have made one in black for Shaman. The one I was using on
Shaman was from LDS and is very heavy compared to the ones I made. The style
of the harnesses I made is like the Swedish style but the handle attaches
like a regular guide harness,on the chest strap instead of on the back
strap. The harness that I made for Rachel's dog,I made just like a regular
guide harness but also added a balance handle as well as the guide
handle. The balance handle is made of aluminum and covered in leather. The
guide handles are made of metal ( not sure of what kind) and I covered them
in tubing that just slips on in the same colors as the harnesses. All very
easy to clean. The handles are easily removed if need be.Neechee's handle is
a semi offset and I love it. I may change Shaman's to the same semi offset
also. These harnesses are working out very well.I have not attempted to make
any nylon harnesses yet but that may be my next project this summer.Take
care, Mardi and Shaman and Neechee GDIT.
