My dog has both. And apparently you have to have a chip if you travel to
some countries. Not really sure why though..guess it's just this world
moving to a more tech oriented world.

Last I knew, GDB only chipped if requested. And I would definitely not
request it. I'm deeply opposed to the whole idea for some reason. It's a
sort of knee jerk thing with me. Lol.

TSE microchips if you want them to. I don't think they require it, and there
is a charge, though cheaper than when you get it done at your vet or
somewhere.
