[nagdu] Bandanas and winter coats

GDB trains all their dogs with booties during escalators, and then the
students in class, to put booties on the dogs to use escalators. I don't
ever do escalators, for many reasons, so I never practiced it. I can't
imagine Olga liking them much, but who knows.

I too will never forget the day at GEB where the instructors had us
put the booties on our dogs. As soon as Kipling started galloping and
walking super fast, I died! I laughed so hard, I cried through the
majority of the practice session. And the same thing happened the
second time, which was outside.
The problem with the boots is that dogs cannot feel the ground through
the footwear. This is one of the reasons why I prefer my dog to wear
thin, latex booties. The product Musher's secret is fantastic because
it creates an effective barrier between the salt and cold without
depriving a dog of its sense of touch through its feet.
