Escalators can be very dangerous for dogs feet. The booties help protect
them.

Out of curiosity, why do some of the schools have the dogs wear boots on
escalators? GDB did not start doing this until after I received Lexia, so I
never got the full story on it.

Chase wears his boots every day on his back feet to protect him on the
escalators at BART. He doesn't mind them at all.

He knows that when we leave the BART station, his job is to find a bench to
jump up on so I can take his boots off. It saves my aged old back not to
have to bend over to take them off. I just wrap the velcro straps around
his harness handle and the boots are always within reach.
