Dear Mark,

	It does **not** stain; I have a very persnickety friend who would
let me know if their were Musher's Secret footprints on my carpet or
hardwood floors, and the ingredients aren't toxic; it isn't likely your dog,
even if he managed to lick it all off, would ever suffer any ill effects,
and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing boots, and the dog can use
its feet naturally.

I've used Musher's Secret, and no one has ever complained about a trail
being left. Also, if you put it on just before you leave, there won't be
much time for licking.

Licking this stuff off can make the dog sick. I currently carry a rag to
wipe my dog's paws, but this just removes most, but not all of the ice
melts. I have tried to condition my dog to tolerate the boots, with no luck.
They are clearly uncomfortable, and I don't blame his refusal to work in
them.
