Also, what GDB says is that there's no way to tell when you reach the end so
you can't prompt the dog to jump off, which could potentially cause the
dog's toe nails or feet to get caught.

As I recall, those moving sidewalks have no rail. Also, people often walk on
them and need to pass you. It might be that you could easily get thrown off
balance if someone inadvertently plows into you. I used to ride them all of
the time with Spencer because I thought it was all the same; he liked to
seek them out and ride. After that though I heeded the school's warnings on
it, and my dogs have most gladly gone alongside them.
