[nagdu] Escalators

Dear Sherri,

Absolutely; there is no way you should risk breaking something to
impress others that maybe you **could** catch an escalator; my body is worth
more than that to me, as I am sure yours is.
For all the issues you have had to deal with, find it totally
exhilarating to think that you can still get about with your beloved guide
dogs.

Or if we nearly fell on them or have other disabilities that might make
reaction time slower and not so easy to get on or off something that is
constantly moving, like an escalator.

Remember, Larry, especially if one is totally blind and a bit older, we
remember the old rickety escalators which, in my case, I was more or less
dragged on by my mother. While I am no longer afraid of them, if another
convenient way can be found, I'll take it.

Doug, what I'm finding very interesting about this topic is how many folks
are scared of escalators and moving sidewalks! I'm not judging or anything
but I surely am suprised!
