I'm sorry, but it seems you all are quite misimformed. As a Lion and a
Pilot Alumni I could tell you that the Lions International supports
many different schools for guide dogs. Pilot actually is supported
almost wholey by Lions, more than any other school including Leader.
Lions often will support the schools in their areas also such as Guide
Dogs of America and etc. The point of Lions is to support vision care
and those with vision loss and issues. Right now, we are working on
establishing more diabetic education and testing. Are we going to not
include someone who may already be involved with another diabeties
association? No way. This is not like NFB and ACB. Everyone get along
as they should, so I do not know why or where you are getting your
information. One crabby woman does not make the worldwide membership
and should not be the loudest voice heard. Eve
