Shannon, sorry for your loss of Caroline.  It really sucks that she died and 
died so relatively young.  But the good part - if there is a good part - is 
that she passed on her own and you were spared the decision of putting her 
down or watching her suffer from some illness.

Take care of yourself and give Ace extra love as he feels the loss as well. 
You two can heal together and each other.

Hi, all.

Caroline, my retired guide, passed away early Wednesday morning. I don't 
know what happened. Perhaps she had a heart attack, but I'm not really sure. 
She was only nine. It's hard for me to believe she's gone.

I'm not dealing with the loss very well. I imagine time will make this 
easier. It was hard losing my first guide, and losing Caroline has brought 
that initial loss back full force.
