Hi.  I think some people think they are helping and just can't accept
that we don't need their help.  This is especially true for us because
those people think they know about dogs, when in reality they only
have a little yipyap dog at home.  :)  For the most part, the people
can be trained just as well as the dogs.

The other thing that some people don't understand is that we train our
dogs.  I think Lary put it the best.  It is a partnership.  IMO, it
really says a lot about the misconceptions of blind people that some
sighted people think that the dogs take care of us by telling us when
to cross streets and navigating us to where we have to go.
