[nagdu] nagdu's resolution about gdb

Michael, condemn and deplore! Oh yeah!I forget. Does the resolution now go
into the pot with all the other resolutions, to be passed, or not, by the
whole convention?

Rebecca, NFB resolutions work like this: Anyone can write a resolution and
bring it to the Resolutions Committee, or the appropriate division to bring
to the committee. Then the resolution is voted up or down by the committee.
If it passes, it goes to the whole convention, where again it can pass or
not. If it passes, it becomes part of the policy of the NFB, and is sent to
the organization it affects, in this case, GDB. It won't make GDB do
anything, but it does show powerfully what blind people think about what
they are doing, and it empowers our leadership and members to work on making
things happen.

I love resolutions. It's not a perfect system, but it is a way for members
to address problems. And some resolutions spark a lot of spirited
discussion through convention week.
