[nagdu] First timer

[melissa R green]

My first convention was in 1994.
I was overwhelmed.
Not only was it my first convention, I was a student at the CCB at the time.
So I can relate to the feelings of being overwelmed.
I rmember when I got my dog, I had just gotten home in may and we were off 
to the convention about a month in a half later.
I was overwelmed then too.
But we did really good.
Thank goodness my school also had a table in the exhibit hall that year.

Yes, I think you make a good point, Melissa, and this is why I did not bring
my dog. I was sick to death of being treated like that. I think we have to
all be calm as possible. Maybe Dar did not realize what a crowd it would be.
It is a little overwhelming to be sure, especially if you don't get out into
large crowds a lot, and there are some tensions that come from all being in
a little unfamiliar situation. I think we have to do the best we can with
regard to being kind and courteous both to each other and to those who are
staff who say to not use their flower beds.

I'd better stop posting here cause I've already done my quota.
