[nagdu] National Convention--my opinion

To play devil's advocate, how is being sick unusual? It happens to
everybody, and I could argue that we all know how to take care of our dogs
when we aren't feeling well. It's part of being an adult.

Maybe I say this because I like Julie's dog walker idea. It'd be a good
fund-raiser. It'd be a chance for people who for whatever reason don't have
dogs (or even if they do) to do something to help NAGDU, both as an
organization, and to help the individual members.
Dog walkers wouldn't be forced on anybody, it'd just be an option people
could use or not use.

I think the number of guide dog users is the same, but the ratio of cane to
dog users is different between NFB and ACB conventions. At least, it
definitely seems like there are more dog users at an ACB convention.

I agree. Most of us prefer to take our own dogs out especially in a new
environment unless we are sick or something.
