Hi Jewel.
Congratulations!  My best advice of what to do before class is to be sure 
you have good walking shoes, and that they're well broken-in.  And do as 
much walking as you can, so you're in shape for class.  I've seen classmates 
come in who didn't have the right shoes, or who weren't used to walking more 
than a few blocks, and it made their experience more difficult.
