Well, I have groomed in my bathroom. Some folks put down a large plastic bag or piece to collect the hair on. I have also combed out by the relief areas, but those were in garages. In the session, I would probably sit close to the center so that people can fill in around you. Not sure how best to do that. Mostly, I play that by ear and just sit wherever I can.
