Hi, all,
Odie and I have been busy the past few days.
Today, I left him with my friends/neighbors Felicia Page and Patrick Gonzales as I had my orientation and mobility lesson.
Since it was around 100 degreese, I didn't feel it was right for Odie to be out in that extreme, hot, heat.
My friends enjoyed Odie keeping them company while I was learning the Countyline light rail station in my power chair.
Although the station was a challenge, I'm glad I took the adventure to learn it anyway.
As for yesterday, I had a close call of being threatened.
When Odie and I went out for park time ben minutes before eight in the morning, something wasn't right out in front of the building.
I wanted to get Odie's business matter taken care of first before anything else.
When we came out of the yard, Odie suddenly reacted to a guy that was sitting on the bench at the bus stop.
The guy did say some things that were very nice and when he said he was going to come up to my apartment that he had a present, I knew exactly what was coming.
I immediately ran back inside to tell a few residents what was going on on top of alerting the supervisor of maintenance and service cordinators.
Since the incident was scary, I immediately went into melt down.
Odie was supportive during the whole situation.
He let me hug him upon the tears falling on his head.
I'll admit that it was good the individual didn't try coming close or else, Odie would have gone after him in defense of me.
Needless to say, I called the police department once getting back into our apartment and the officer showed up after doing a search in the area.
Only thing that I can do for now is to wait and see what will happen next and was given the suggestion of carrying my cel phone on me at all times in the building, especially if and when I have to take Odie out for park time.
I'm thankful Odie was there with me during that incident and there's no doubt in my mind that he really would have wanted to keep me safe from possibly getting physically hurt.
The two of us are very devoted to each other and I also will defend him if necessary.
Another confession I have is while I was out and about earlier, I began to feel dog lonesome, definitely missing my partner.
Now that I'm back home and so is Odie, I'm much happier and he is happy to have his mommy back with him.
I held my big boy close, also picked him up to hive him his favorite mommy's bear hug including a kiss on the side of his face.
As for Friday, Odie and I don't plan on doing anything.
We're going to stay home and just hang out.
Bibi and son Odie
