Most of the time Fisher has to jump on the seat to turn around because of the space between the seats. I get him off as fast as I can.

For riding in the back seat, I would get in on the passenger side so that the front seat could be moved forward to make room if necessary. Then we would get in the same way. Sometimes it was difficult in the back seat, though, because there wouldn't be room for the poodle to turn around to get out. So I started using the front seat if the driver was okay with it. Portland is super dog friendly, so a lot of the cabbies couldn't understand why I didn't just have the dog on the seat. /lol/ I wanted to train her to do it right. A few times I was in the back seat and leg room was too tight for the dog to be properly on the floor, I have given in and let her be on the seat if the driver suggests it first and if it wasn't rainy out.
