[nagdu] taxi transport

Hey Buddy,
I agree, I really do not want to even start to give anyone a reason to take
issue with my guide dog. Also I don't want to begin to encourage that
behavior in the dog. She has always ridden on the floor, and I think it
should stay that way.

Hi,

Having your dog sit on the back seat of a cab isn't a very good idea for a
couple reasons:

1) It isn't as safe as on the floor. A quick stop and your dog has nowhere
to go but forward.

2) We already have enough problems with cabs and cab drivers. Best to keep
your dog, and consequently his hair, on the floor. One less thing for the
driver to bitch about later.

or is allergic. In this case what I do is sit in the back and ask the driver
to move the passengers seat up so my dog can sit on the floor. A lot of
times my drivers have not been able to move the seat up because there of
this that and the other reason so, I just bring a towel and they have the
understanding your dog has to sit on the seat because they can't adjust
everything for you. The towel just avoids conflicts about the dog leaving
fur and dirt . Sometimes I wish they were more accommodating but when it
comes to getting from point A to B I pick my battles.
