Another solution I can think of is to get in first in the backseat and slide across to the far side. the dog would get in next and use the floor space on the opposite side of the vehicle. You'd end up getting out on the opposite side of where you entered and the dog would follow behind you. Of course this only works if you have the whole backseat to yourself. Julie
